Oct. 30 - Houston, TX - Warehouse
Oct. 31 - Dallas, TX - Palladium

More shows will be announced on Tuesday, September 7.

Glenn Danzig recently spent time editing the music video he directed for DANZIG's new single, "On A Wicked Night", which was shot on location in early June at the infamous BatCave in the Hollywood Hills.

"On A Wicked Night" comes off the first new DANZIG studio album in six years, "Deth Red Sabaoth", which sold 11,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 35 on The Billboard 200 chart.

DANZIG's last album, "Circle of Snakes", opened with 6,400 units back in September 2004 to enter the chart at No. 183. That number was in line with the 6,900 first-week tally registered by 2002's "Danzig 7:77 I Luciferi", which debuted at No. 159.

"Deth Red Sabaoth" was released on June 22 via Evilive/The End Records. Produced by Glenn, the CD was recorded in Los Angeles over the course of 2009.

The 11-track collection, penned by Danzig, is laced with Glenn's lycanthropic growls and blues-infected wailing. Tracks including "Black Candy", "The Revengeful" and "On A Wicked Night" emit a spectral glow to rival the highest points in Danzig's colossal discography. Part I of the exquisite two-part "Pyre of Souls" opens with acoustic guitar, haunting piano, Glenn's plainsong vocal, and an almost dirge-like feel; Part II explodes with electric guitars and a driving, mesmerizing cadence.

Joining Glenn in the studio for the recording of "Deth Red Sabaoth" were guitarist Tommy Victor (PRONG, MINISTRY), a Danzig cohort on and off since 1996, and drummer Johnny Kelly (TYPE O NEGATIVE, SEVENTH VOID). While Kelly has toured with Glenn intermittently since 2002, this is the first time he has recorded with the band. Glenn handled the bass chores for most the album, and played drums on "Black Candy".

As with all of Danzig's releases, the CD cover artwork for "Deth Red Sabaoth" (see below) is provocative and ominous. The cover is an original piece created specifically for the CD by the award-winning artist Joe Chiodo, whose work has graced not only Danzig's Verotik publishing line, but also the covers of numerous graphic novels and comic books, including X-Men Unlimited. "Deth Red Sabaoth" isn't the first time one of Chiodo's paintings has been part of a Danzig package — one of his erotic "good girl" pinups was part of 2007's "The Lost Tracks of Danzig".

DANZIGGlenn, guitarist Tommy Victor, drummer Johnny Kelly and bassist Steve Zing (also an original member of SAMHAIN with Glenn) — plans to tour extensively to support "Deth Red Sabaoth".

SAMSUNG HT-BD1250 BLU-RAY HOME THEATER Review by Ferrell Ferguson (Houston, Texas United States) 2010-07-02
I paired with this 58 inch Samsung Plasma 1080p HDTV PN58B560 after deciding that my family really need the convenience of a less remote (see my review). I was happy with Samsung products speak .. another is not perfect, but once you understand the system you really need only one remote. This is not fair for me to compare this...

What would you say to high end graphics without the high end hardware? Unlimited Detail's new technology might be just what you're after.

Ever wondered what the PC gaming landscape would look like in a decade?

Recent years have seen the advent of fluid 3D gaming and motion controllers, but there are other lesser known developments occurring in the industry that have the potential to change the face of PC gaming.

Imagine you had the ability to play the latest PC game at its full potential regardless of the system configuration you are playing on? Nothing less than a revolution in computer graphics would be required to achieve such a feat, you say?

Well you will be surprised to learn that not only has this alleged graphics revolution been in the works for quite some time now, but that the technology comes from a small Australian software startup known as Unlimited Detail.

Revolution in rendering
UD claims that its alternative rendering method can churn out high-quality computer graphics without the need for graphics chips or processor-hungry machines.

The basics of this rendering technology involve ditching polygons in favour of billions of 'point cloud' dots to represent an environment. The claimed result is quite literally unlimited geometric detail while the whole thing runs in custom-built software at smooth framerates on a conventional PC processor.

Original developer and CEO, Bruce Dell, commenced work on Unlimited Detail over three years ago and finally, after significant backing from investors, formed a company in April.

"Major companies have got to a point where they improve the polygon-count in graphics-rendering by 22 percent a year. We have made it unlimited. It's all software that requires no special hardware, so you get truly unlimited detail in your scenes", says Dell.

Voxels vs Polygons
The idea of using atoms or points is also known as Voxels and is not a new concept, of course. However, Voxels have traditionally been limited to graphics applications for the medical and mining industries, not video games.

Analyst Jon Peddie suggests the technology could provide a balance between traditional polygon rendering and computationally intensive ray-tracing methods.

"With Voxels, you create a volume of points and look at those points to see what the picture is all about," Peddie told Wired. "That gives very accurate representations of the world you are trying to render, without taking up too much computational resources."

The unique aspect of Unlimited Details alternative rendering method is the custom built-software, which is said to work like a search engine that finds only the necessary dots to render a particular scene.

CarolJean: Yeah - I know you can't see the map w/o registering on the site. That is inconvenient. But registering is free so maybe consider it if you rare looking at other properties on Homelidays.

That flat is on rue Xavier Privas in the 5th. Now -- I do KNOW a lot of folks would avoid the street because they think it is noisy. Pedestrian street full touristy restaurants. But I LOVED the location. The flat faces the inside courtyard and you cannot hear any of the revelry out front. It is so close to the river/Notre Dame/StMichel metro/RER stations.

Now - w/ unlimited funds I'd probably book a more posh place. But for a budget and great location -- I'd stay there again.

here is the detailed description from my trip report (a few years old - explaining the lower rent):

>>A bit about the flat: It is on rue Xavier Privas in St Michel. This is a touristy neighborhood of narrow pedestrian streets lined w/ Greek restaurants and pizza cafes, small groceries, a couple of creperies, etc. only a block from the river, Notre Dame, St Michel metro and RER. It is a very lively area and not everyone's cup of tea. But it could not have been a more convenient location and since the flat faces an inside courtyard it was totally quiet. This is NOT the flat for someone who wants to spend €150- €200 per night and wants a posh apartment w/ a view of the Eiffel Tower. But for anyone on a budget it is amazing. It is a large though simply furnished 1-bedroom plus double sofa sleeper. The sofa bed has a regular mattress so it really is comfortable. Small living room, sofabed, TV, non-working fireplace, 2 occasional chairs. Dining room w/ table and 4 chairs. Large closet w/ hanging space and shelves. Nice sized kitchen w/ 4 burner cooktop, microwave, large-ish fridge-freezer, basics provided (salt/pepper/sugar/coffee/tea/olive oil/Nutella (!) and so on). Decent sized bedroom w/ a large double bead/desk/chair. And a large bathroom w/ deep tub, hand shower, lots of towels, heated towel rail. All in all just about anything one would need. All for €455 per week! Or €32,50 per person per night for the two of us. It is certainly large enough for a family w/ 2 kids or even 2 couples traveling together if they don't need posh. We got it through Homelidays.com which is sort of like VRBO ' you deal directly w/ the owners.<<
